Mr J. Straehon, Commissioner ol Crown Lands for the Wellington district, was in town to-day. Mr A. G. Muir, U.is'c, has succeeded to the engineering ana surveying practice formerly carried on in Wanganui by Mr A. Atkins, A.M.I.C.H. Mr Muir who is a. graduate of Canterbury College, in addition to a considerable experience in N.Z. gained much valuable knowledge in his profession as a Government land surveyor in the Transvaal, Natal and Swaziland, and in his hands the old practice may satcly be relied on to continue its efficiency. welcome Mr Muir to the business community of the town.
