ROWING.

BY "RUDDER. "

A.B.C. Members are reminded that nominations for the Benefield Fours will close to-night. I hope to see a large entry for this event, and not only two or three crews, as was the case with the Shield. A pleasant little event took place at the shed on Tuesday evening last, when Mr Frank Haywood was presented by the committee with a selver-mounted cigarette and cigar holder, in recognition of services rendered to the amusement committee during the winer months. Mr C. R. Parke make the presentation on behalf of the committee. The decision of the N.Z. A.R.A. in removing the weight restriction from maiden clinker boats has found very little favour with local oarsmen and more may be .heard of the matter.
