Cyclone Spreads to Central America.
Enormous Damage and Loss of Life. An Island Submerged by a Tidal Wave. SAN SALVADOR; October 21. The cyclone caused appalling destruction in San Salvador, and great lo6S of life. Tho San Salvadorean warship lzalchas has been lost. So great was the havoc that even some of the physical features of the country have been changed. The losses in Guatemala and Honduras amount to millions of dollar*. A tidal wave engulTed Elliott's Key Island, drowning 250 of the inhabitants. A hundred deaths are reported in Florida. There are numerous lop^es of coasting vessels.
