The amendment to the New Zealand Loans Act, introduced by Governor's message last night, provides, in terms of tha announcement made in the Financial Statement, for the creation of sinking funds for the repayment of loans raised for war or defence purposes (total amount .£3,995,000) and for the repayment of debentures, stock, or other securities issued for Settlement Act.
