LONDON WOOL SALES.
SEPTEMBER SERIES. Dalgety and Company, Limited, Wellington, have received the following cable from their London house, under date of the 18th inst. : — The list of arrivals is closed. The new arrivals amounted to 101,000 bales, of which. 30,000 bales have been forwarded direct to manufacturers at Home and abroad, leaving 90,000 bales available for sale (this includes 19,000 bales carried forward from the July series). It is very probable there will be 5000 bales secondhand additional. ABRAHAM AND WILLIAMS' STOCK REPORT. PALMERSTON N., September 20. At Palmerston on Thursday we had a full yarding of cattle, and there was a good demand for all classes, with the exception of low-conditioned and backward heifers. Sheep came forward in short supply. Fat bullocks £7 to £7 7s, good fat and forward bullocks £7, 3 and 4 year forward bullocks £6 3s, 3-year steers, £4 12s to £4, 16s, 2-year steers £3, 18-month steers £2 10s to £2 12s, mixed yearling? 24s to 28s, 18-month heifers 26s 6d to 27e 6d, weaners 15s, springing heifers £4> to £4 15s, fat and forward cows £4, store cows 30s to £2 3s.
