Wellington Supreme Court.
WELLINGTON, September 21. The charge against W. Read of having sold a copy of the New Zealand Truth of Bth August containing indecent and immoral matter was called on at the S.M. Court this morning and adjourned for a week.
At the Supreme Court this morning John Byron Hamilton, false pretences, was sentenced to twelve months' imprisonment; Peter Shaw, theft, was sentenced to six months.
