MELBOURNE HIDE MARKETS.
Received September 21, 12.54 a.m. MELBOURNE'S September 20. The hide market was very firm at last week's high rates. Supplies were small. (Per United Preaa Aaiociatiom). NAPIER, September 20. The C.C. and D. Company to-day cabled the following report : Frozen meat market, to-day's quotations: Canterbury mutton, 3s; Napier, Wellington, and North Island, 3fd. Lamb— First 4fd, second 4&d; beef: hinda 3jd, fores 2*d.
