A movement is afoot (says a contemporary) to present the Rev. Dr Sidey, of flapier, who resigned last November from the clerkship of the; Presbyterian Assembly, with some fitting testimonial of the church's esteem and appreciation of his long and valuable services. ■ Mr L. R. Haughton, of Fern Flats, loft Mart on on a visit to tho Old Country yesterday. Dr Jamesou, Premier of Cape Colony, has written to the Hon. J. McGowan, Minister in charge of the International Exhibition, stating that he hopes to be able to announce shortly that one of his colleagues will attend the "openinpf ceremonies iv connection with the Exhibition.
