The Manawatu Association has nomin. ated McKenzie, Cameron, H. Sorensen, Crump, R. and D. Fraser for selection in the North Island tsam.
The Manawatu Hockey Association's rep. team has been choeen by vote of all the Clubs affiliated with the following result: — Goal, Waliley (Old Boys); full-backs, Adams (O.B.), Cameron (Pioneer); hahre«,< Fraser (O.B.), McKenzie (Horowjienua), Sorenssn ,Awapuni) ; wing forwards, Fraser (O.B.), Sorenscn (Awapuni); forwards, AValdegrave (V.M.C.A.), Crump (O.B.), Webb (O.B.); emergencies— Drew (O.B.), Watson (Awapuni), Stevenson (Pioneer), backs; Crooke (Awapuni), forward. The team will play against Wellington, Taranaki, Auckland, Wairarapa, and Wangauui, at Palmerston, the latter match being fixed for August 22 ud. The following have been picked to play for the Wanganui Ladies' Club against the College seconds on the Racecourse at 3.15 o'clock to-morrow (Thursday): — Misses R. Henderson, M. Bassett, E. Drew, E. Turner, N. Park, G. Jones, M. Jones, L. Kiernan, M. Bowman, G. Swan, J. Laird. Emergencies: L. Beauchamp, F. Waldmann. Those not playing in the match will practice as usual at 2.30.
