POULTRY NOTES.

Wanganui Poultry, Pigeon, and

Cage Bird Association.

The usual monthly meeting of the committee of tho above Association was held in Jackson's Rooms last ovening, , when a good muster of the committee were present.

The arrangements for tho forthcoming show on July 4th and sth are well in hand and there is every indication of a large entry. Inquiry for schedules have been received from all parts of New Zealand. The committee have issued a very attractive schedule. Special prizes to the amount of ,£7O have been allotted to the various breeds. Children and novices have been specially provided for in tho schedule. Special prizes have been allotted both" in the poultry and pigeon cir-t^es. Entrance fee one shilling each entry.

The New Zealand Waterfowl Club's special amounting to 7 guineas .i?,s also been allotted to tho Association for competition.

The North Island Poultry Association will hold their annual meeting on the hist day of the Show, when a large number of visiting fanciers will be present. The committee will make every endeavour to make this, their third Show, the best that has ever been held in Wanganui.

An art union, by permission of tho Colonial Secretary will be held in connection with the Show. The first prize will be gold nuggets to the value of £\0 10s and the second, nuggets to the value of ±'3 3s, with 10 other valuable prizes of nurebred poultry. Tickets are one shilling each, which admits holder to the Show as well as a chance in the a r t viuui.

Schedules and art union tickets are nowready and may be obtained from any of the committee or W. Riehinws, lion, secretary, Ridgway Street. Entries for all classes close with the secretary on June 25.
