IN pursuance of "The Electoral , Act, 19U5," I, THOMAS DICK CUMMINS, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Wanganui, do hereby give notice that, by virtue of a Writ bearing date the 92nd day of November. 1905, under the hand of the Clerk of the Writs, an election will be held for the return of a qualified person to servo as member for the said district; and that the latest dajr lor receiving nominations of candidates will be the 28th day of November, 1905; and that tho poll, if necessary, will be taken at the several polling-places of the said district on tho 6th day of December, 1905. • Every man desirous of becoming a candidate must be nominated by not less than two electors of the district, by a nomina-tion-pa], cr as prescribed by section 97 of the said Act, delivered to the Returning Officer on or before the 28th day of November, 1905. And I further give notice that under the "Licensing Act, 1895," a Local Option Poll will be held at the same time and place. IN" pursuance of "The Alcoholic Liquors Sale Control Act. 1895," I Thomas Dick Cummins, Returning Officer for the Wanganui Licensing District, do hereby give notice that on the 6th day of Deceiiiber, 1905, tho day appointed for taking the Electoral Foil of the Electors of the Electoral District o£ Wanganui, simultaneously therewith a Licensing Poll will be taken upon the following proposals: — 1. I vote that the number of licenses existing in the district continue. 2. I vote that the number of licenses existing in the district be reduced. 3. I vote that no licenses be granted in the district. Nominations for thft appointment of scrutineers in accordance with "The Licensing Poll Regulation . Act, , 1899." must be lodged with me not later than 5 o'clock in the • afternoon of the 29th day of November, 1905.
