SENIOR CUP.
I Fine weather prevailed on Saturday, when tho local cup competitions were* advanced another stage. T-lie Old Boys'
seniors journeyed to Waverley and gained a victory, over, the country players by 3 points to nil after a very close contest. There was a very fair attendance of spectators on the Recreation Ground, where after the Kaierau juniors had. vanquished the Wanganui Juniors by 12 'points to nil, the Pirates and- Wanganuis took tho field, a very interesting stniggle resulting iv the defeat of the Wanganuis by 1(3 points to 3. The score was even — 3 all — until 10 minutes before the whistlo sounded, but in that brief period the Pirates, playiug with great dash, ran up 13 points, and left off winners with a big margin of points to spare. On the College Ground the Kaieraus defeated the T.Y.M.I.'s, who, as usual, were shorthanded, by 25 to 9.
