WEST'S PICTURES AND THE BRESCIANS.

Tne above novel and clever combination were again well patronised on Saturday evening, the Opera. House, being packed, by a very enthusiastic audience. West's pictures are undoubtedly the best we -have seen in Wanganui, tho beautiful colouring in some of 'the pictures itself being magnificent. The Brescians, by their finished performance, again .demonstrated what clever artists they are. Miss Dorminca Martenengo's number "Sunshine and Rain" was beautifully sung, her rich contralto voice being greatly admired. Mr Fred Mills, the comedian of the company, is in a class by himself as a comic singer, the audience being kept in roars of laughter by his eccentricities. We strongly advise all those who have not yet seen this clover entertainment to do so, either tonight or to-morrow evening, which will be tho last night of the season. An entirely new programme will be givan each evening. A matinee ' -performance was given on Saturday afternoon, the Opera House being- packed. The management are to be congratulated on giving such a splendid programme for a matinee performance. ,

This evening an. entire change of programme will be given. One picture which in itself is worth thie price of admission is the fairy extravaganza in twenty scenes en. titled "The 'Sleeping Beauty." Among other pictures will be "The Land of the Midnight Sun,"- "Bewitched Travelling," "Moifaa Falling in the English Grand National Steeplechase," etc. Intending patrons would do well to be early in order that they may get a favourable position in the "queue." West's Pictures and the Brescians is an 'entertainment which should not be missed.
