WELLINGTON, January 2ft.. . The Department of Industries and Commerce ha 3 received the following cable from the Agent-General, dated London, January 27: — The War Office are prepared. to consider offers for the supply of 1650- or Ztfjp tons, of oaten hay, at a price delivered, including cost of freight and insurance, at Port Elizabeth or Durban. The hay- mudft be packed in bales, securely bound ■ with strong wire, and weighing lOOlbs. • each bale, and be subject to Government inspect, tiqn as regards weight, quality*- and Condi* tion; shipment to be maae by steaipsrnot later than February 14, and no portion to be carried on deck. The freight on. oaten hay pressed in bales to the two ports-above-mentioned (fixed under Government contract), is 37ff 6d per ton of. 50 cWbic feet. ' -
