N.Z.L. and M.A. Co., Ltd., report as follows: —
At Pahncrston sale, on Thursday, there was a full yarding of both sheep and cattle, and a full attendance of the public. There was a good demand all round, and bidding at auction was brisk. Practically the whole entry was quitted under the hammer. Passed-in lots were satisfactorily disposed of, only two 1 pens being unsold. We quote : — Sheep.— Hoggets 10s lid to 12s, 2 and 4-tooth wethers 15s 9d, mixed ewes and wethers 14s, store ewes 10s, rams 21s.
Cattle— Weanera 32s to £2 0s Gd, yearling heifers £2 14s to £%■ 2s 6d, 18-month steers <£3 12s to .£3 18s, 2-year steers £4 16s, sound cows £5 Wd to ±7 10s, cows m calf £3 12s 6d to £5, store co\V3 £2 103 to ,£3 10s, empty cows £<&, i'at cows £G to .£8 7s 6d, heifers in calf £4, 2s to £5, fat bullocks (light) £7 to £8. . •
