Insurgents Defeat Turkish, Troops. Both Sides Lose Heavily. Bulgarian Sympathy with Insurgents. Eeceived September 4, 10.47 p.m. • CONSTANTINOPLE, September 4. - , An insurgent band, under Chokalaroff, had a fight with Turkish troops at Dawbeni, in the Debra district. Both lost heavily. The. troops were badly defeated in trying to capture a pass leading' over the Sateska Eiver Valley. : » Congress gymnasium professors in Sofia adopted a resolution of sympathy with the revolutionaries,- and expressed admiration at their bravery. Svetkoff, a Macedonian agent ■ in Bucharest, has been arrested on a charge of extorting from various persons i>looo for Saravoff. x Turkish/ troops defeated 200 insurgents at Dalmetogertzie, near.Uskub, killing 14. They plundered and burned the village. Turkish railways refuse to convey soldiers without payment from the Government in advance. . ■ -'--Insurgent bands are crossing the Bulgarian frontier daily. ___________
