DEATH IN A GAOL.
<Per United Pxem AsKMa*tt©».} AUCKLAND, August 18. William Wakefield McLcod, who was committed at Auckland in February last to 10 years, was found dead in bed at the gaol this morning. He had been suffering from a sore throat, and had been treated by Jihe gaol surgeon. An-inquest will probably be held.
