Association^ WELLINGTON, June .10. , The annual rppart of th« Emplayera' As* sociatiou states thjit the Association is in a Stronger position., and .the otiilook ia more hopeful than ever before.* Dealing with the preference to Unionists' report, it says :' ■ We regard the ' present, discretionary power of the Arbitration Conrt to award preference to Unionists,' as .entirely indefensible, , on the gi'ound , of abstract justice, but the proposal to. compel cmV ployers to employ Unionists alone, ''in all cases, we must resist by every constitutional, means. In this we believe the origanised employers throughout New . Zealand will' move .as one man, and there is good reason to- expect that we'stiall bo supported by other 'employers and by the general community, not excluding, many workers themselves." The report added that co-operation with Farmers' Unions and others is being sought. Mr W.* Cable, v ironfounder; was - elected president. -■ ?
