At the . Jlomebuslw , sales,, values were firm at late rates. The catalogue included two shipments from New Zealand. Wethers ranged from 17s lOd to 23s 3d, ewes 19s 3d to 19s 6d. Local wethers, best 17s 6d, good ( 13s to 14>s; besfe ewes 16s, good 12s to 13b. Cattle showed a slight fall. Best bullocks <£11 10s, good .£lO 15s; best cows £8, good £7 ss. Best beef, 30s to 31s per 1001 b.

Messrs F. R. Jackson and Co. rbport on' their Wanganui sale as follows: —
At our Wanganui sale yesterday we had •a faiif yarding of cattle and sheep, and disposed of practically the whole of the entry at late' rates. We quote: — Cattle. — Two and a half year steers, £i 9s ; 15 and 18 months steers, <£3 to £3 8s ; 18-month quiet " heifers, <£3 8s ; weancr .heifers, £2 ss; niixed: weaners, 26s to 30b. Sheep. — Two, four, and six-tooth" wethers, 11s 6d; fat' ew.es, Us 6d to 12s 6d; store ewes, 8s; cull ewes, ss; lambs, 6s. Pigs. — Best,pork-i ,36s to £2; medium, 27s 6d to 3 ! 2s 6d; light pork, ■£! to 245; stores, 15s to 17s; weaners, 7s.
