A SINGULAR FATALITY.

A singjular fatality occurred this morninjg when Mrs Mary Swanson, an 61derly widow, fell down . a flight of stairs at a house where she was engaged as nurse; .while carrying a/ ftiU bucket' in one hand and a jug in! the other. The jug was .broken, and Mrs Swanson fell aerosV 'a -jagged F iece of itj which severed" tire «arotid and internal jugular arteries of the 1 neck. Medical aid was promptly on the spot, and the severed vessels ligatured, and other remedies appjied; but the patient Succumbed -tojoss.of blood and convulsions, after lingering three hours. An'.iji-,, quest will 'be held, to-morrow. The' deceased was a very old and a nmoh respected resident of Oitniaru. . »" -
