JOHNSONVILLE, December. 17. Messrs Freeman B. Jackson and Co., in conjunction with Messrs, Abraham and Williams, report as to their Johnsonville sale as follows: —
On account of the holiday, we had a double 'entry, consisting of good bullocks, with a few pens of cows. The chief competition .was for bullocks, and last week's rates were fully maintained. Cows were dull of sale. We quote: — Beef at 2Os to 21s, and cow 18s. Sheep, in fair supply, but of medium quality, sold freely. Lambs were also well represented and competition was keen for god lambs.. Cattle— Best bullocks, <£8 15s to .£9 ss; others, .£7.158 to £8 12s 6d; light bullocks, £7 2s 6d to £7 10s; cows, £5 15s to £7; extra good, £7; light, ditto, £5 15s. Sheep — Best wethers, 10s 7d to 10s 9d;, light ditto, 9s 6d; ewes, 9s Id; lig-ht ditto, 8s Id; best lambs, lls sd; others, 9s Id to 10s lOd; medium lambs, 7s to 7s 6d; stores, 4e..
