of the Country.

OAMARU, November 19,
Glorious rain, the best for. mouths, set in last night. It is general throughout tho district, and will do an immense amount of good to" the crops, which were suffering severe from the prolonged drought.
A wire received by tho Mail says that good rain has been experienced in- Central Otago, and proved the salvation of the country.
