WANGANUI GUARDS.
The Shooting. Committee of 4 he abovo corps have declared tho following handieapu and conditions for +he liophy kindly presented by Mr J. McLaehlan, the first competition to be held next Tuesday and Thursday mornings, commencing at 6 o'clock sharp. — Lieutenant Harper, Colour-Sergeant Kite, Sergeants Vine and Gage, and Corporal Anslcy, scratch; Private McMurray, 2 ponts; Sergennts Swftnger and Bourne and Bugler Hotter 3; Privates Ellison, McElWain, E. Ansley, K.-Tanri, and K. Tauri, 6; Corporals Comrio and Miller, Privates G. Harris, Olliver, and Chadwick, 8; remainder of tho company, 10 points. Conditions to bo as follow: — 7 shots at 200 yds kneeling, 7 shots at 500 yds lying, with two optional sighting shots at each range. Three competitions to be held, best two to count. Conditions, etc., will be posted in the company's orderly room.
Members aro requested to procure ammunition at Messrs Jensen nnd Soiib* before proceeding to tho range. ,
