THE DALEY CHARGES.
(Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, January 15. "At the Police Court to-day Daley was charged with—(l) That on 21st December he concealed property of the value of .£lO and upwards that ought to be divisible amongst his creditors, viz., .£1950, (2) that on 21st of December he disposed of drapery and clothing to the value of £2977 which he obtained on credit, and had not paid for. After taking tho evidence of Wm. Henry Grave, importer of fruit from the islands, and who was hound over to appear at the Supreme Court on February 26th, the acoused was remanded until the 22nd inst. Ifc will be remembered that at the first meeting of C. G. Daley's creditors it was resolved that a reward of X2OO should be given to any person who first gave the whereabouts of Daley. This afternoon the .£2OO was paid over by John Lawson, Official Assignee, to Power, a gumdigger, and ,£IOO to Constablo Kelly, of Helensville. It is understood that Constable Kelly will give Native Constable Williams a sum for his efforts in discovering Daley.
