ALL FOR LOVE.

WELLINGTON, January 15. A young man was arrested on Saturday night on tho eve of his departure for Sydney, charged with abducting a young girl from her parents in the New Plymouth district without thoir consent. Counsel for the accused said his client could not marry the girl as she was under age, but that she left home voluntarily. They had been engaged for a year, and had endeavoured to obtain the consent of her parents, but without success. During the afternoon a wire was received that her father withdrew any further proceedings provided the couple were married, and the case stands as part heard unfil Friday, when it is expected the father's consent will be received, and the marriage ceremony will be performed.
