MELBOURNE, January It. The city was thronged yesterday to witness tho departure of tho Second Ci ntingent and bid iarewell to tlve Brassey's, who left for England in their yuchl Sunbeam. Tlio entire route was packed by cheering crowds. There was a great display of bunting. Price, Commandant of the Contingent, received a specially enthusiastic leccption. Similar scenes were witnessed at Port Melbourne, where the troops embarked on. tha Euryalus.
