DUNEDIN, December 15. Arrived: Barquo Oban Bay, Capjain Wakely, from New York. 137 days out. Her passago across tho Southern Ocean v/as markod by a preponderance of bad weather. Heavy seas broke on board, and she comes into port with a heavy list to starboard.

During tho voyage of the Oban Bay, a seaman named Brosowater used a knife to another seaman named Murphy after au altercation. Brosewater is alleged to havo attacked Murphy with a knife, stabbing him five or six times on the head. Tho force of the blows broke the knife, but Brosewater still used the broken part until it was taken away. Murphy, who was severely injured and bled freely, was attended by Captain Wakely and tho chief officer, and recovered sufficiently te resume duty on October 21st. At the request of the crew, Brosewater was confined in irons until the arrival, when he was handed over to tho polico.
