The necessary leavo of absence has been granted Fisher andDoWnos to pecompany the New Zealand team to Australia. Th 6 New Zealand team play 13 of Otago on the 20th January.
Tlioro is considerable comment in cricketing circles in Hawke's Bay at the non-inclusion of A. H. Gore in the New Zealand team. Gore has been playing consistently this season,* having made an average of about GO in first-class cricket.
Nineteen players from tbe different clubs of Hawke's Bay have been selected to praotice for the match against W,anganui, to be played at Napier on the 26th and 27th iust.
