ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

(Per United Press Association.) Invbrcahghjl, May 26. Patrick Flanagan, a farmer on the west Bide of Oreti, is supposed to have been drowned while crossing the river on Tuesday. He left Winton at 4 o'clock for home, and his horse was found to-day with the stirrups across the saddle. The river is in flood. Two days before Mr Flanagan's horse got into a quick sand at the same ford, and Mv Flanagan was thrown, but he managed to scramble out.
