Charles Care's Stock Report.
Mr Chas. Cair's report is as follows :— I have only the Feildiog sale, on Friday, 20th instant, to report upon. Both cattle and sheep came forward, in excess of advertised numbers, there being penned 112 head of cattle and nearly 10,000 sheep —an uuprecedentedly large sale' for the time of the year. The attendance was good, many buyers being present. Bidding for forward and fat wethers and ewes was brisk, fat wethers reaching 10s 3d and ewes 8s Bd. There was no change in the value of lambs. Nearly all the sheep were quitted, various coast buyers taking 6000. Prices — 2 years heifers, 303; weaners * (poor), 6s; bullocks, £4 6s 6d. Lambs, 23 4d, 2s6d, 2s 7d, 3s sd, 8s Qi, 3s lid, 4s, 4s 3d, 4s 6d; forward wethers, 8», 8s 3d, Bs 6d, Bs 7d, Bs 9d, 8s lid; fat wethers, 9s Bd, 9s Wd, 9s lid, 10s 3d; fat ewes, 7s lOd, 8s 3d, 8s sd, 8s 8d; forward ewes, 6s, 6s 6d, 7s, 7s 2d, 7s 0d j store wethers, 7s, 7s 4d, 7s 6d, 7s 9d 5 ewes in lamb, 3s, 4s 3d, 5s 3d ; Lincoln ewes in lamb, ,8s 2d; store ewes, 3s 4d, 3s l]d, 4s ld, 4s 3d, 4s 9d, ss, 5s 3d, 5s 7d, 5s 8d and 5s 9d.
