The WanganuiKifJe3 held » competition yesterday on the rifle range fo? nioney prizes. Although the weather was BOt particularly favourable for good shooting, a strong gusty wind Wowing across the range, yet some excellent scores were made, Winslade and Purnell getting on 88 out o£ a possible 100. It will l?a npted that Private Scott (late pi the Nayals) comes fourth on tho list, with 78, Following are the scores : —
Prom the lione Star State comes the following letter, written by W. F. Gass, editor of the Mfc. Vernon (Tex.)
