By a special in to-night's Telegraph it is stated that Mr W. Douglas this morning bought the steeplechaser Chemist, and that he intends taking a strong team acrois to Australia next week, comprising Chemist, Jupiter, The Peer, Kapo, and one or two others. A. Ellingham goes over to ride Chemist in the V.R.C. Grand National and other races, D. Munn will havo charge of the team and Morrigan also accompanies him. The team returns to Ohristehurch in August and will take part in the Grand I National Steeplechase Meeting.
