TYSER.
The enfcorprising Tyser is carrying out the programme ho pketched out so iaunfcily at the last annual mooting of the Now Zealand Shipping Company some nine months ago, when ho threatened that he would retaliate for the way he waa treated in being excludod from the Directory of that Company, Mr Tyaer was not then free ; haying, as a '"poucher," made a compact to keep up freights ; but the time haying expired, the enterprising Tyser comes forth again as a public benefactor. This time ho offers to carry goods by his steamers at sailing ressel rates. If the Union Company, of which Tyser is the organiser and inspiring genius, will carry " stuff " on such terms, there ia for Wanganui the prospect of a direct trade beginning ia the early part of next year, which will enable our merchants here to compote with those of the large centres. So, bravo Tyser, and may your shadow never grow lees !
