RESULTS OF TORY GOVERNMENT. A DEFICIT OF £2,750,000.

London, April 19.— Sir William Vernon Harcourt, Chancellor of the Exchequer, made his Budget Statement in the House of Commons to-night. The revenue for tho fiuanncial year just olosed, amounted to £89,500.000, and the expenditure for tho same period to £92,250,000, or £2,750,000 more than the revanne. The revenue for the ensuing finanoial year is estimated at £90,500,000. and the expenditure at £89,875,000. The revenue from the Customs and Excise, alcoholic beverages, for the twelve months was £1,000,000 below the estimate. It is proposed to meet the deficiency by taking £800,000 from the sinking fund. No increase of taxation ia contemplated.
