FITZ Hercules was bred by the late Wm.Walters Esq., of Pupukura, and was by that celebrated stallion yattendon, sire of more winners than any other horse in Australasia, amongst whom may be mentioned Habena, Vulcau, Paidon, Chester, Dagworth Sterling, Commodore, Vixen, Grand tflaneur.Narina Sweetmeat, Lord Burghley, etc. Fitz Hercules was a good performer himself, having won the Auckland Derby, ruu second to The Dauphin in the Canterbury Derby, besides other races. He is a beautiful brown, free from white, standing over 10 hands, and for hone and symmetry unsurpassed. Peeiess, the dam of Fltz Hercules, was the earnest maroinJNew Zealand, and while on the turf won raceß at all distances and weights. Her sire, tho Peer, was sire of Darebin, one of the best performers in Australia, and who the Hon Ed. K.
