OUR VOLUNTEERS.
WANGANUI RIFLES. The third class fired the seventh and final competition for the company's trophies this morning, with the following result : — 200 Soo 400 Hp Tl. Volunteer Brockman ... 16 20 18 8-62 Volunteer Bell 18 24 19 0-61 Volunteer Callagban ... 12 19 14 8-53 Volunteer Wright 16 21 14 o—sl Volunteer Morey 11 17 15 B—sl The following are the highest aggregates in five out of the seven competitions :—: — Wright 282, Bell 278, Gallaghan 265, Blake 256. CITY RIFLES. All those members of the City Rifle 3 who have not fired in the first, second, and third stages of class firing, will do so to-morrow morning, commencing at half-past 5 o'clock. The company resolved, at a general meeting held after the parade last evening, to send a team to Auckland, to compete at the next meeting of the Now Zealand Rifle Association, and those members who intend to go will commence practice on Monday morning next. ____^________
