Manawatu Racing Cltjb Handicap, of 200 soys ; second horse to receive 25 soys from the stakes ; nomination, £3 ; acceptance, £7 ; distance, 2 miles ; the winner of any handicap to the value of £100 after the declaration of weights to carry 71bs extra. District Handicap, of 60 soys ; nomination £1 ; acceptance, £3 ; distance \\ miles; open to all horses owned for four months prior to time of entry by bona fide residents, who have been living within the Manawatu County for that time. To start at 3.30 o'clock. Hack Race, of 10 soys ; once round the course ; post entries ; entrance, £1 ; catch weights ; open to all horses that have never won an advertised race, hack races excepted ; the winner of this race to be offered for sale by auction after the race, and any suit realis* d over £20 to go to the funds of the Club. To start at 4. 15 o'clock. Flying Handicap, of 50 soys ; nomination, £1 ; acceptance, £3 ; distance, 6 furlongs. To start at 5 o'c'ock. Consolation Stakes Handicap, of 25 sovs; nomination, £1 ; acceptance, £1 ; for all beaten horses during the meeting ; distance, 1J miles. To start at 5.45 o'clock. Nominations will be received, addressed to the Secretary, at the Royal Hotel, Palmerston North, up to Friday, 24th November, at 8 p.m. Weights will be declared on Thursday, 7th December. Entries and acceptances close on Friday, 15th December, at 8 p.m. RULES AND REGULATIONS. No entry will be received for any race except upon this condition : That all dispntes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of this programme shall be final. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the Hon Secretary, Palmerston North, entrance money enclosed, with the name, age at time of entry, pedigree, and, in case of handicaps, the performances of the horse, name of the owner, and colors of the rider. Any jockey riding except in colots entered will be fined 3 soys. When two or more horses Btart, the property of the same owner, a distinguishing color must be worn. All persons intending to withdraw horses are required to give notice to that effect to the Secretary or Clerk of the Scales one half hour before starting. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this rule shall pay a fine of 5 soys to the race fund. All races to be run under the W.J.C. rules. Horses walking over will only receive half the stakes. Qualification fee for non-members, 1 boy. j Second horse only saves its stakes in all races except where otherwise specified. No entries or nominations will be received under any pretence whatever after the specified time for closing. All nominations to contain age, name, color, sex, pedigree, and performances of horses, and name of owner. Colors of riders to be spnt in with accepttances.
