1,151 48,696 59.81 The extra mileage added on to tho Wanganui section by the opening of the line to Kai Iwi has materially added to the working expenses, without giving a corresponding benefit to the returns. The receipts on toe Wanganui section were derived from passengers, parcels, &c, £1220 ; goods and live stock, £1202; total, -62422, as against *,l»4O for the corresponding period last year.
A notice from the Hon. Seo. of the Acclimatization Society, referring to salmon and trout, will be inserted to-morrow.
