DEATH BY DROWNING.

We regret to hear of the drowning of a man employed on Mr O'Hanlon's punt at Upokongaro this afternoon. Two men were on the punt when it drifted against the ferry wire, throwing both into the water. One named Kirby managed to switn .ashore, but the other was not so fortunate, and sank before any assistance could be rendered. The body has not ): been Recovered.
