THE OPENING OF THE RAILWAY.

Turakina, May 17. The train stopped at all the stations and made the journey out in one hour and three quarters. The Mayor made a speech on arrival here, congratulating the two districts on the prograss of public works, and trusted the connection would still further serve to cement friendship between the places. A luncheon was served in the goods shed. A crowd of natives welcomed the arrival of the train.
