Correspondence.

TO THE EDITOR OF THB KVKNING HRRAI,D

Wanganui, Sept. 20 1869.

Sir, —1 overheard a remark this morning regarding the new Presbyterian Church tenders. " Oh it will fall amongst the oatmeal again," which evidently implied a suspicion of the fair dealing of the committee. The usual custom in tendering is to open the tenders in presence of the tenderers themselves, reading them out aloud, and if this plan be adopted now, a great deal of bad feeling will be saved.—l am, &c.
