(From the W. Q. Times.) Wellington, May 17. The Manawata survey is again interrupted by a native named Hopa, who pulled up all the pegs for a distance of five miles. Some were pulled up in the presence of the surveyors. Another native moved the surveyors' camp across the river Rangatiki. The opposition is supposed to be personal only, not organised. Prompt steps are being taken to carry on the survey, and prevent further interruption. The General Government promised to support the Provincial Government, if necessary. All the usual delegations of power are gazetted to Mr Rolleston. Messrs Robert Campbell, Thos. Frazer, Otago ; M. S. Grace, G. M. Waterhouse, "Wellington ; Thomas Henry Wigley, Nelson; and James Williamson, Auckland, have been called to the Legislative Council.
