AN INQUIRY.

(To the Editor of the Westport Times.) Sib, —I have but just been told by a person, who saw it promiscuously, that there was something respecting my affairs in the Government Gazette. Perhaps, sir, you will be kind enough to inform me when or how I can obtain this Government Gazette? I have heard that the publication referred to, is a notice that if the rent of my runs are not paid at a certain date they will be forfeited. How is it that we Westportonians cannot have privileges as other towns in the Province enjoy—that is for any thing connected with the Government and concerning the district to be published in a local paper ? Ido not believe that one man in a hundred sees a Government Gazette whereas everyone can see a local newspaper, and they know how every thing is going on beneficial or not.—Tours, &c, Reuben Waite.
