Tuesday, Jan. 12. (Before J. GHles, Esq., R.M.,) TREE LICENSE. Thomas Dickenson applied for the renewal of a free license at the Waimangoroa. The application was granted, on the condition of his continuing to provide house accommodation, and to keep a boat available on the river. In reply to questions by the Magistrate, the applicant stated that there was very little trade doing at the Waitnangora; he had not taken five shillings these last three months. CIVIL CASES. Ratcliffe v. Blair.—A claim of £ Mr W. Lloyd appeared as the plaintiff's authorised agent, and proved the debt. .Judgment was given for the amount claimed. Gallagher v. Hayes.—A claim of £1 10s for horse-hire, and 10s for the use of a lady's saddle. The indebtedness of the defendant was proved by Hugh Alexander, and judgment was given for the amount claimed.
