Sir, —I hope you will find space in your valuable pppcr for the following statement which, I consider, the public should be made acquainted, viz. : It lias just come to my knowledge rhatthe rationing ofthe gaol department in "Westport is not, as in all the »aols in the world, supplied by public tenders, but by the gaoler himself, such not being the case anywhere else.
