VIOLENT OUTBURST

IN HOUSE OF COMMONS. AGAINST GOERING. (Received Friday, 11 a.m.) LONDON, Thursday. Mr W. Gallacher (Communist) caused an uproar in the House of Commons with a violent outburst against Field Marshal Goering. Mr G. Le M. Mander (Labour)3 asked whether Field Marshal Goering should be given an opportunity of inspecting Britain’s air raid precautions. Sir Samuel Hoare (Home Secretary): “That is a matter of individual opinion. ’ ’ Rt. Hon. Herbert Morrison (Labour): “Is Sir Samuel Hoare aware that if Field Marshal Goering visited London there would be a row about it?” Ministerialists: “Why?” Mr Gallacher: “Is Sir Samuel Hoare aware that Field Marshal Goering is soaked in blood.” The remainder of his remarks were not heard except the shouting of the word “Butcher.” The speaker intervened and the incident closed.
