WEDDING
BOWCOCK—GRANTHAM. , A picturesque wedding was solemnised on 18th December at St. Matthew’s Church, Masterton, between Mona Rubina, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs G. 11. Grantham, Church Street, Masterton, and Ernest Alexander, only son of Mr and Mrs J. Bowcock, Northland, Wellington. The church liadi been prettily decorated by friends of the bride. The Rev. E. J. Rich officiated. The bride entered the church escorted by her father. Her bridal gown of magnolia satin was eut on classical lines, with a long flaring scalloped train, the front of the skirt falling in a double soft • cascade. The bodice was slightly niched to form a heart-shaped, neck-line, the back being finished with tiny satin bows. The sleeves, fully gathered at the shoulder, fell tightly from their widened line to mbuld the Avrist. A coronet of orang» blossom! buds held in place the mistyjLlle veil, which Avas Avorn over the fac<l Her lovely bouquet Avas of lilies, roses and carnations. The bridesmaids Avere Miss Joy Grantham and Miss Ruby Madsen, sister and cousin of the bride, respectively. They Avere dressed alike in slim-fitting frocks of gleaming blush-pink satin, over Avhieli they Avore fully-gored mauve lace redingotes, the scalloped, fronts being caught together to the waist by tiny satin buttons, and the frocks finished -with high medici collar. They carried; dainty bouquets of roses and carnations and wore floAVers in their hair to match their frocks. Mr R. Crocker was best man, and the groomsman Avas Mr M. Finlayson. Mr G. Grantham, jun., and Mr McDonald carried out the duties of ushers at the church. During the signing of the register, Miss Leah Johnston sang very sAveetly Schubert’s “Serenade.” , A reception Avas held at jfcie Masonic Hall, AA-here Mrs Granthammpeived her guests attired in a goAvn of wuiA'y f baati lace, with brown hat and shoes to tone. She carried a bouquet in autumn shades. Mrs BoAvcock, mother of the groom, Avore a brown ensemble Avith accessories to match, and carried an autumntinted bouquet. v After the reception a dance Avas held for the guests and many young friends of the bride and bridegroom. When Mr and Mrs BoAvcock left on their honeymoon, the bride Avore a smart rust and honey ensemble, A\*ith broAA r n accessories.
