The? “Daily Telegraph’s” Bombay correspondent? says that hundreds of lives were lost in great landslides which, completely wiped out seven Himalaya:!, villages in the Garliwal area. There were no survivors. The first inkling of the tragedy was when human bodies, carcases of ani* mals and wreckage began to- drift down from the Himalayas on the flood-swol-len waters of the Ganges.
