NET PROFIT £46,450,

CHRISTCHURCH, Friday

The accounts of the New Zealand Farmers’ Co-operative Association of Canterbury, Limited, for the year ended 31st July, 1936, show a net profit of £46,450, against £33,367 last year. The gross profit was £179,115, against £162,817 last' year. The dividends recommended are 44 per cent on first preference (unchanged), 4 per cent on A preference (unchanged), and 4 per cent on B preference, against 2 per cent last year. Ten thousand pounds is put to a special reserve against contingencies which may arise from the new legislation. —(P.A.)
