IN TIMARU COURTHOUSE.

TIMARU, Thursday.

A sudden deatli wrote finis in a licensing case in the Timaru Police Court today. Alexander Bell, a middle-aged stonemason, was charged, with two companions, with being' found on licensed premises after hours. He protested that he had not gone there to procure liquor, which was accepted as a plea of not guilty. As the police were not prepared to go on, the case was adjourned. Barely a minute afterwards Bell collapsed and was carried into the corridor, where he died before the arrival of a doctor. —(P.A.)
